Robin Roberts has been missing from several episodes of Good Morning America recently. Many fans have wondered where she has been, but the good news is that Robin keeps fans following her socials updated on what is happening. She has been keeping busy, and she teased a big assignment.

Robin Roberts Has Surprise Assignment Coming

Robin Roberts has been missing from several Good Morning America episodes recently. She has kept fans updated, though, and revealed she has been traveling to work on something else for the popular daytime talk show.

Robin shared an Instagram post during her absence that showed her at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with her stylists. “On the road again with Glam Fam! This time we’re heading across the pond and will be sitting down w/ “royalty”..hmm,” Robin teased. “Stay tuned to @goodmorningamerica for the deets.”

Fans loved the idea of Robin sitting down with royalty, and let her know about it in the comments:

• “Have a great trip…can’t wait to see the story!”
• “Safe travels! This explains why we didn’t see you sitting in the middle of Michael and George this morning on GMA.”

Robin Roberts Has Big Interview Coming?

Robin then posted a second Instagram post, this time saying she was “across the pond” and still teasing the big interview yet to come. She also said she planned to spend some time with fans.

She said in the post that she was still “on work assignment with Glam Fam.” This isn’t her first time overseas, either, as she attended the Wimbledon tournament and the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Roberts has also interviewed royalty in the past. She interviewed Prince Harry recently about many subjects, including his relationship with his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, whatever this assignment was, fans will have to wait and see. Robin is already back in the United States and was on Thursday’s episode of Good Morning America.

In that appearance, Robin made it clear that she wouldn’t join in on the people piling onto Michael Strahan for his actions during the national anthem during the NFL’s Veteran’s Day coverage. He stood in respect for the song, but fans wanted him fired for not placing his hand over his heart. Robin ignored the faux controversy, and instead just wished him a happy birthday.
