Sheinelle was joined by E! News host Justin Sylvester, who previously co-hosted Today’s fourth hour with Jenna.

“Jenna is off today on a well-deserved spring break,” Sheinelle announced at the start of the show, and noted that there will be a rotation of guest co-hosts for the rest of the week.

The show’s Instagram account detailed the week’s co-hosting schedule and the famous stars they’ll be interviewing.

Justin will return as guest co-host on Friday, while Ashley Graham, Nia Long, and Darren Criss will step in on the other days.

The TV personality recounted his chaotic journey, telling Sheinelle that he got pulled over for speeding while rushing to the studio.

“I dropped your name so hard,” Justin laughed and said he flashed a promotional flyer for the show to the police officer, hoping it would hurry things along.

“By the way, just so you know, I’ve got to be honest. I told them I was Craig Melvin,” Justin later joked.

“So, Craig, if there’s a warrant out for your arrest tomorrow. Just know, it wasn’t me,” he humorously added.

The Today show team has been drastically shaken up over the last couple of months amid lead anchor, Savannah Guthrie‘s 84-year-old mother, Nancy‘s shocking disappearance.

Nancy is suspected to have been abducted from her bed inside her Arizona home on February 1 and has yet to be found.

Savannah rushed to Arizona to aid the Pima County Sheriff’s Department in their search and to be with her siblings.

Photos obtained exclusively by The U.S. Sun earlier this month show Savannah looking visibly emotional while visiting the Today crew in NYC.

Savannah reportedly told the crew she intends to return to the show, but it’s unknown when that will be.

Her former co-host, Hoda Kotb, has been filling in for Savannah, and the other anchors have also taken turns in the role.
