Kelly, 43, revealed she’s stepping away from The Kelly Clarkson Show, which first premiered on NBC in September 2019, so she can “prioritize her kids” and focus on the “next chapter” in their lives.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at TKCS, both in Los Angeles and New York,” the TV star’s post began.

“There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

Kelly continued, Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision – but this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this chapter of our lives.

The Stronger singer then assured fans that she isn’t completely backing away from her career, but she won’t be part of the daytime TV circuit anymore.

“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.

“But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years,” Kelly concluded.

Fans reacted in the comments with kind words for the mother of two.

“We love you Kelly! Here’s to the next adventure. TV won’t be the same without you and your beautiful show!” one person wrote.

“Thank you for 7 fantastic seasons and to all of the wonderful people behind the scenes who put on an incredible show day after day! We love you,” said another.

“Love you. Do what’s best for you and your family and we will always support you,” a third added.

Rumors had been circulating that the American Idol alum was considering cancelling her daytime TV show or bringing on a replacement as she’s faced personal struggles following the death of ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock

Earlier this month, sources told Page Six that The Kelly Clarkson Show’s currently airing seventh season would be its last.

Chatter had been swirling for some time that former Today host Hoda Kotb had been eyed as Kelly’s replacement, in case NBC needed someone else to step into the role.

However, at the time, a decision hadn’t been made about Kelly’s future in the hosting spot.

Talk about whether The Voice coach would return began last year when she took a prolonged leave of absence.

She took time off from the show and cancelled a string of concert dates when her ex-husband, Brandon, died in August 2025.

Reba McEntire’s former stepson died at 48 following a private battle with malignant melanoma.

He and Kelly share two children, River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9.

The pair were married for nearly ten years before their messy divorce in 2022.
