Erika Kirk’s candid words in a leaked audio clip to staff shed new light on Turning Point USA behind the scenes, as she congratulates the team for their hard work.
The leaked audio was allegedly recorded just two weeks after Charlie Kirk was assassinated
Right-wing podcaster and media personality Candace Owens has shared a leaked audio clip of Erika Kirk speaking to her staff just two weeks after the slaying of her husband, Charlie Kirk. In the clip, Kirk can be heard congratulating the Turning Point USA events teams for pulling off “an event of the century.”
While praising staff members for booming merch sales and acknowledging that several staff members “didn’t even sleep”, Kirk also warned them to put their beef “to rest” and reminded them her husband was dead.
“Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. The fact that we were able to pull off an event of the century is just insane. We had 275,000 people that attended and a stadium overflow,” she could be heard saying cheerfully.
“I think we’re at like 200,000 for merch sales. Don’t quote me on that, cause I think it just keeps like bumping up like crazy. I just wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to the events team, the development team, the graphic design team, and the production team.”
She added, “Honestly, a lot of the staff that worked on the memorial — they had 20-hour days for a week during the time of us grieving the loss of my husband. And honestly, I know several staff who didn’t even sleep.”
She then turned the conversation around, asking staff members to put aside differences.
“I don’t care if any of you have beef with each other from the past, or have any issues with, someone said something about this, or that, like if you guys have any of that, please put it to rest.”

Kirk continued, “My husband’s dead. Like, I’m not trying to be morbid, but he’s dead. And it puts life into perspective of how short life is, and relationships.”
Candace Owens reacted to the recording on her podcast, concluding that, “in my imagination, I just thought that she would be more upset.”
After Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025, Erika took over as CEO of his organization, Turning Point USA, and has already run several events since. Most notably, Charlie Kirk’s memorial service took place on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where guests included President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Elon Musk.
More recently, Erika announced a new tour she would be embarking on, the ‘Make Heaven Crowded Tour 2026.’
Speaking about the tour last week, Erika told fans, “This tour is so special to me because I wanted … to bring a slice of heaven from my husband and bring it to everyone around this county so that they could have that extension, and that beauty and that palpable feeling of the Holy Spirit.”
Before she was appointed Turning Point USA’s CEO, Erika worked in real estate and appeared on Bravo’s reality TV show’ Summer House’ in 2019.
